If you have read everything that came before this, you have spent some time inside a particular kind of weight.

The kind that comes from knowing what's actually true, trusting what you see, and believing that the structure underneath you will hold when you step back and let it carry the weight.
I have watched leaders carry far more than they should for far longer than was good for them or their organizations. Not because they were controlling or resistant to change or afraid to trust their people. Because they had never been given a clear enough picture of where things actually stood to feel safe putting the weight down.
Giving them that picture is the work.
